Problems with Creating P: Drive

Problem:
Are you unable to create P: Drive due to a windows error?

Solution:

1. Double-click on " My Computer "

2. Do you have a P: Drive already ?

   • If yes, right-click on P: Drive and check the drive TYPE:

   • If it is a Network Drive and could be substituted by using another drive letter, then:

     • Cancel the properties dialog box.

     • Right-click on P: Drive and click on Disconnect.

     • After it is disconnected go back to creating P: Drive

   • If no, then repeat the steps in creating P: Drive. If you are then unable to successfully create the P: drive, please contact technical support.

Problem:
Are you unable to follow the steps listed in creating a P: Drive because you don't have Notepad?

Solution:

1. Click on Start > Run

2. Type in EDIT

   • A dos-based editpad will be loaded, your mouse will not work in this program to select menus.

3. Press Alt + F keys at the same time.

4. Use your Down Arrow to highlight Open , then press the Enter key.

5. The first box highlighted will be File Name: type in the following path.

   • c:\autoexec.bat

   • Now press the Enter key.

6. Your cursor will automatically be placed on the first line.

7. Press the Enter key to insert a blank line

8. On the blank line type in the following command line.

   • subst P: C:\Cyrious

9. After placing the command line into the window:

   • Press Alt + F keys at the same time.

   • Highlight Save and press the Enter key.

   • Close the window by clicking the X button in the top right corner.

10. Now restart the computer.
